Opor is a white Indonesian curry, originally from the island of Java. There are variations of opor, the common ones are chicken and egg opor. Opor tofu is also popular for vegetarians. . It is popular especially during Muslim New Year Holidays. Usually eaten with rice or ketupat / lontong (rice cake compressed in banana leaves) Opor ingredients are coriander, white pepper, cumin, lemongrass, ginger, lime leaves, galangal, shallots, garlic.
